NFF Looking for new Trustees

NFF is a BAFTA and BIFA qualifying festival, supported by the BFI, Norwich BID, Norwich City Council, UEA and NUA, as well as local award sponsors, partners and prize-givers.
The festival is 12 years old and runs in venues and online for two weeks each November, attracting submissions from filmmakers all over the world.
As a CIO (Charity No: 1173950) our Board provides governance and leadership to a group of volunteers who are passionate about film and dedicated to the promotion and celebration of the short film genre in Norwich, a city renowned as a creative and cultural hub.
Our current Board members have a skillset across marketing, education, law and accountancy, so we are looking for at least two new Trustees who are well connected in the worlds of film, culture and the arts, or can help develop the festival through sponsorship or grant funding. The role is open to anyone with experience or those who might be thinking of becoming a Trustee for the first time. We are not interested in anyone who wants to make their CV look good!
The commitment will be to attend quarterly Board meetings, usually Monday evening from 6pm to 7.30pm, to have input to the strategy, be prepared to network and lobby on our behalf, attend events and contribute practically to the smooth running of the festival. It’s an exciting time to be joining as we look for new ideas to reach the next level of sustainable growth.
NFF celebrates equality in the film industry and welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds to create an inclusive Board of Trustees.
To apply, please send an email to our Chair,
john@norwichfilmfestival.co.uk
attaching a CV and a covering letter explaining why you wish to become a Trustee and what you feel you can bring.
The deadline for applications is Friday, 10th June, followed by informal meetings, with the successful candidates attending the next Board meeting via Zoom or in Norwich on 4th July 2022 at 6pm.
